Court Verdict - Fayose Storms Zenith Bank Withdraws 5 Million

After the Ado Ekiti High court judgement that lifted ban on his account frozen by the EFCC, Governor Fayose storm Zenith Bank today and withdrew N5million from his account without any restriction.

The governor thanked Ekiti people and Nigerians who stood by him
during the ordeal.

Fayose has immunity against prosecution but not against investigation. Under the law, no legal action can be taken against a sitting President, Vice President, Governor and Deputy Governor. Any investigation conducted against them are allowed, by law, to wait until after their tenure.

A sitting President, Vice President, Governor and Deputy Governor can not sue or be sued under the immunity clause they all enjoys.

Abuja is yet to react to the development.
